PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear box component which has high dimensional precision and whose lightening of weight is possible while having strength and reliability equal to those of the conventional ones, a gear box, and a method for producing a gear box component.;SOLUTION: Provided is a gear box component composing a gear box to store a gear mechanism, formed by a fiber-reinforced resin composition in which a fibrous filler with the average fiber length of 0.5 mm or more is dispersed into a resin material. The gear box component is produced by: a fiber opening step where a fibrous filler is opened in a solvent to obtain a fiber-containing slurry 149; a papermaking step where the fiber-containing slurry 149 is poured into a papermaking mold, and the solvent is removed from the inside of the papermaking mold to mold a preform 37A with a shape almost same as that of the gear box component; and a molding step where the preform 37A is charged into a molding die, and a resin material is impregnated into the preform 37A to mold a gear box component.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
