PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary type footrest device for a vehicle which can inhibit the movement of an occupant to a vehicle (seat) front side upon vehicle front collision without impairing comfort in a normal use state.;SOLUTION: A footrest 28 is rotatably attached to a lower arm 18 with a seat width direction as an axial direction. The footrest 28 comprises a foot placement part 46 which is inclined toward a vehicle upper side from a crossing part 40 close to a floor 22 toward a vehicle (seat) front side in a normal use state. Further, there is provided a lifting mechanism part 32 which rotates the footrest 28 toward the vehicle upper side upon vehicle front collision. Accordingly, upon the vehicle front collision, feet F of an occupant P can be protected from the deformation of the floor 22, and the foot placement part 46 serves as, so to speak, a wall, thereby being able to inhibit the displacement of the occupant P to the vehicle front side. In addition, in the foot placement part 46, since the crossing part 40 is close to the floor 22, the feet F can be placed at positions close to the floor 22, so that comfort is not impaired.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
