PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system, radio communication method, wireless LAN master unit, and wireless LAN slave unit that can connect with the wireless LAN master unit sooner than the case of using a plurality of identifiers.SOLUTION: In a radio communication system, a wireless LAN master unit 10 communicates by radio with a wireless LAN slave unit 50 which is a connection object candidate. The wireless LAN master unit comprises: a setting unit 42 that sets an identifier of the wireless LAN master unit with a connection password integrated in the identifier; and a transmission unit 11 that transmits the set identifier of the wireless LAN master unit to the wireless LAN slave unit. The wireless LAN slave unit comprises: a password acquisition unit 56 that obtains the connection password from the transmitted identifier of the wireless LAN master unit; and a connection control unit 57 that connects to the wireless LAN master unit by using the transmitted identifier of the wireless LAN master unit and the obtained connection password.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
