To provide a radiant tube burner and a method of operating the same and a carburization furnace and a method of operating the same that can safely, efficiently and effectively utilize energy that a carburization furnace exhaust gas has.SOLUTION: A radiant tube burner comprises a gas nozzle 2 where a first fuel gas supply pipe 21 and a second fuel gas supply pipe 22 are arranged concentrically in order from a center axis J, and an internal pipe 3 which has a tip end 3A arranged closer to a tip side in a gas jetting direction than a tip end of the gas nozzle 2 with the tip end 3A being opened, and an external pipe 4 which has a tip end 4A closed, which are arranged concentrically in order. Further, the radiant tube burner has: a plurality of first fuel gas jet holes which are provided in the tip end 21A of the first fuel gas supply pipe 21 and opened toward an internal surface 31 of the internal pipe 3; a plurality of second fuel gas jet holes which are provided in the tip end 22A of the second fuel gas supply pipe 22 and opened toward the internal surface 31 of the internal pipe 3; and a plurality of combustion-supporting gas jet holes which are arranged in the internal pipe 3, and opened closer to a rear end side than the first fuel gas jet holes and second fuel gas jet holes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
