PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel composition having improved physical properties which are hard to swallow, such as the elasticity and brittleness of the gel, and to provide an improvement method thereof.SOLUTION: The invention provides a gel composition which has the suppressed elasticity and brittleness of gel by containing a gelling agent, such as water and pectin, agar, carrageenan, gellan gum, gelatin, xanthan gum, locust bean gum, guar gum, and tara gum; and a poorly water-soluble particle component, such as a crystalline cellulose-synthetic polymer, a microcapsule, and a crystal component for medicines. The gel composition is easy to integrate in the mouth and has the rupture stress of 10000 N/mas biting strength. The invention also provides a method for improving physical properties for obtaining the compositions.
