PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heating furnace crucible which can sufficiently increase the temperature by induction heating until a radioactive waste can be melted, if the crucible uses a metallic outer cylinder.SOLUTION: An induction heating furnace crucible 1 is made of a material containing carbon, silicon carbide, and alumina, the carbon being present in a concentration of higher than 30% by weight, having a 6-13% porosity, a 1.99-2.30 volumetric specific gravity, and a flexural strength of 8.0 MPa or larger.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
