PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crewman support device which estimates mean consumption power of an auxiliary machine including air-conditioning equipment in a storage battery train with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A crewman support device 40 calculates estimation mean consumption power which is consumed by an auxiliary machine 22 including air-conditioning equipment 24 from a temperature difference between an outdoor temperature and a preset temperature of the air-conditioning equipment 24, and calculates possible supply electric energy for the auxiliary machine 22 from power storage electric energy of a power storage device 30 and drive electric energy for a main motor 18 required for travelling to a prescribed station. Possible supply electric power is calculated from the possible supply electric energy and a time required for travelling to the prescribed station, and a recommended setting temperature of the air-conditioning equipment 24, which makes it possible that estimation mean auxiliary machine electric power, which is calculated by use of a correspondence relational formula, is equal to or less than the possible supply electric power and makes it possible to travel to the prescribed station, is calculated. A possible utilization time of the air-conditioning equipment 24 is calculated from the possible supply auxiliary machine electric energy and the estimation mean auxiliary machine electric power at a current setting temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
