To provide a production method of a functional article that exhibits a performance the same as the case where a functional resin is directly coated and in which warp is suppressed, and a functionality transferring base material used therein, and a functional article obtained thereby.SOLUTION: A functional layer of which an air surface side becomes a functional surface is formed on a mold release surface of a mold release base material, after the functional surface and a re-peel surface of a re-peeling base material are adhered, by peeling the mold release base material, the functional layer is once transferred on the re-peeling base material, after the transferred functional layer and a body to be transferred are adhered, the re-peeling base material is peeled, the functional layer is transferred on the body to be transferred in a state where the functional surface becomes a surface layer side, thus, a functional article having excellent function and suppressed warp is obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: None
