To solve the problem in which: a widely used general monetary gift envelope for celebration or condolence required labor and time at the time of putting paper currency in or at the time of confirming the putted paper money; and in funerals, there is a case that a third person confirms the amount of incense money in the place of the reception, the reception is crowded in proportion to time required to confirmations, and a person to confirm the amount opens the monetary gift envelope for condolence under attendance of mourners so that mental stress due to the confirmation work occurs.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a monetary gift envelope for celebration or condolence made by folding a convex shaped base paper having a body portion 1, a folded portion 2, a folded portion 3, a folded portion 4, and an overlap width portion 5 along each of boundary lines. When the folded portion 3 of a bag body is opened, insertion and extraction of a paper money 9 can be performed easily because a paper money stored portion has a structure like a wall pocket. Further, a confirmation of an amount can be performed easily because one end side of the inserted paper money 9 exposes. And, only one piece of paper money is stored in a predetermined direction, and when the folded portion 4 of the bag body is opened, the amount can be confirmed from a small window 7 provided in the folded portion 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
