PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential width measuring master capable of highly accurately measuring an axial position of a bearing ring for an angular contact ball bearing by a simple process while suppressing damage on a product; a device for measuring an axial position of the bearing ring for the angular contact ball bearing using the same; and a method for measuring an axial position of the bearing ring for the angular contact ball bearing.SOLUTION: A differential width measuring master 15 is used in an angular contact ball bearing, in place of one bearing ring and contact balls and in combination with other bearing ring 11, and includes an abutting part 15c that comes into contact with a raceway surface 11c of the other bearing ring 11. In an axial cross-section in a state in which the one bearing ring, the contact balls and the other bearing ring 11 are assembled, the abutting part 15c has a circular arc shape which is centered at a position corresponding to a curvature center of the raceway surface of the one bearing ring, and which has a radius with a distance obtained by subtracting a radius of the raceway surface of the one bearing ring from a diameter of the contact ball.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
