The purpose of the present invention is to provide: phosphor aggregate nanoparticles for achieving a fluorescent immunostaining method having higher detection performance; and a staining reagent and fluorescent immunostaining method that use same. Phosphor aggregate nanoparticles are less likely to be non-specifically adsorbed by other living molecules, etc., and detection target (gene or antigen, etc., related to a specific condition) staining efficiency during immunostaining is improved, as a result of using, as the fluorescent component of a staining reagent used in FISH or tissue immunostaining, phosphor aggregate nanoparticles having: dye particles having an average particle diameter of 40-300 nm and comprising phosphors accumulated on the surface of or inside particles that serve as a base; and first living molecules that have a bonding site and are on the surface of the dye particles. The proportion of first living molecules on the surface of the dye particles that have an active bonding site is 0.001-0.036/nm2. The sensitivity and precision of detection of detection targets during fluorescent immunostaining can be increased as a result.
