PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods in which the methylation frequency in a particular gene, which is collected as data for discriminating normal tissues, uterine leiomyoma, and uterine leiomyosarcoma and is used as a biomarker; to provide methods of collecting data for discriminating uterine leiomyosarcoma; and to provide kits and the like for collecting data for discriminating uterine leiomyosarcoma.SOLUTION: The methylation frequency of a CpG sequence in the partial sequence of a region encoding 10 genes of ALX1, CBLN1, CORIN, FOXP1, GATA2, IGLON5, NPTX2, NTRK2, PRL, and STEAP4, or the transcriptional regulatory region of the genes is collected as data for discriminating between uterine leiomyoma and uterine leiomyosarcoma and is used as a biomarker.SELECTED DRAWING: None
