To provide a parking lot management device capable of managing a vacant state of a parking lot where no apparatus for detecting a vacant state is installed and allowing an inquiry vehicle to know the vacant state of the parking lot in advance.SOLUTION: A parking lot management server 30 includes: a communication unit 36 for receiving an inquiry request that includes destination information and inquires a vacant state of a parking lot in the neighborhood of a destination from an inquiry vehicle and receiving current position information designating a current position from a plurality of information providing vehicles; and a parking lot confirmation vehicle selection unit 33 for selecting an information providing vehicle located in the neighborhood of the destination as a parking lot confirmation vehicle based on the current position information. The communication unit 36 transmits a confirmation request for requiring confirmation of the vacant state of the parking lot in the neighborhood of the destination to the parking lot confirmation vehicle and receives the parking lot vacant information designating the vacant state of the parking lot in the neighborhood of the destination confirmed by the parking lot confirmation vehicle from the parking lot confirmation vehicle to transmit the parking lot vacant information to the inquiry vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
