To easily and accurately calculate an amount of correction to a color hue, taking a flare level into account with respect to a chart in which patches of different sizes are mixed.SOLUTION: Using a printing system including a printing part for printing a chart, a scanner for acquiring an RGB value, and a colorimeter for acquiring a hue value, and also using a scanner profile and the RGB value resulting from measurement of the chart, the hue value is estimated. A first patch group of a first size for acquiring the RGB value and a second patch group of a second size for acquiring a hue value are provided to calculate an amount of correction to the hue value on the basis of an estimated color hue value and a hue value resulting from measurement of the chart. A predetermined chart is formed, in which the first patch group includes a specific patch that has the same CYMK values as each of the patches of the second patch group. The color hue value is estimated using the scanner profile and the RGB value resulting from measurement of a specific patch of the first patch group. On the basis of an estimated hue value and a hue value resulting from the measurement of each patch of the second patch group, the amount of correction to a color hue is calculated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
