PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a name resolution device capable of selecting an appropriate edge server for a DNS query and easily dealing with a configuration change of the edge server, a name resolution method and a name resolution program.SOLUTION: A name resolution device 1 comprises: a first storage part 11 for storing a gateway management table in which first positional information is made correspondent to an address of a gateway 3; a second storage part 12 for storing a DNS zone file in which second positional information is made correspondent to each of a plurality of A records; a reception part 13 which receives the DNS query; an acquisition part 14 for acquiring the first positional information that is made correspondent to a source address; an identification part 15 for identifying the A record that is made correspondent to the second positional information corresponding to the first positional information; a name resolution part 16 which performs name resolution of the DNS query based on the A record; and a transmission part 17 which transmits a result of the name resolution as a DNS response.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
