PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an abnormality produced inside a photoelectric converter unit.SOLUTION: An optical power supply system includes: a photoelectric converter unit 21 which generates power by receiving light; and a charge unit 22 which charges power generated by the photoelectric converter unit 21. By the application of a voltage to the photoelectric converter unit 21 to cause the photoelectric converter unit 21 to emit EL light, and by imaging the photoelectric converter unit 21 which emits the EL light by an infrared camera 32, an abnormality in the photoelectric converter unit 21 is detected based on the imaged EL image. Here, a part of the EL image having emission luminance lower than a preset threshold is detected as an abnormal part. When the abnormal part is detected, by notifying a crew of the fact, the crew is prompted to perform maintenance including repair, exchange or cleaning of the photoelectric converter unit 21. Also, by the stop of the optical power supply, the continuation of inefficient power generation is suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
