PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for easily, promptly, and specifically sorting and detecting Acinetobacter (A.) baumannii (especially A. baumannii International clone TypeII {ICII}, which is reported to be more resistant to drug than others).SOLUTION: Provided are a nucleic acid probe, that is designed to recognize bases of positions 107 and 108 in a base sequence of a gene encoding an OXA-51-like-lactamase protein in A. baumannii IC II; a method for detecting A. baumannii IC II, comprising a step (I) of binding the nucleic acid probe to a nucleic acid in a sample; and a kit for detecting A. baumannii.
