PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless gateway, a program, and a method capable of suppressing a control signal to a wide area wireless network based on a packet originated from devices, with respect to a wireless gateway in which a plurality of devices are connected via a short-range wireless network.SOLUTION: A wireless gateway has: a congestion detection buffer 11 that temporarily stores a packet received from a plurality of devices 2 via a short-range wireless network for a predetermined time period; congestion determination means 12 that determines whether or not a predetermined number of packets or more are stored in the congestion detection buffer; a transmission delay buffer 13 that stores a packet outputted from the congestion detection buffer 11 when the congestion determination means determined that a predetermined number of packets or more are stored in the congestion detection buffer; and waiting state control means 14 that transmits the packets stored in the transmission delay buffer to the wide area wireless network at an arbitrary timing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
