PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear fusion neutron generation device and a nuclear fusion neutron generation method which enable the suppression of surface discharge of a positive electrode and the high-voltage introduction part while downsizing a high-voltage introduction part.SOLUTION: A nuclear fusion neutron generation device is arranged to accelerate an ionized fuel gas to cause a nuclear fusion reaction. The nuclear fusion neutron generation device comprises: a vacuum chamber 11 having a positive electrode TJa; a negative electrode 12 provided in the vacuum chamber 11 and electrically insulated from the vacuum chamber 11; a high-voltage introduction part 13 electrically insulated from the vacuum chamber 11, which causes a negative potential to develop on the negative electrode 12 by providing the negative electrode 12 with an electric power supplied from high-voltage applying means 14; and an insulator structure 15 forming at least a part of an inner face of the vacuum chamber 11, and having a shielding material 16 which is provided on the side of the inner face of the vacuum chamber 11 so that a creeping distance between a triple point on the side of the high-voltage introduction part 13, and a triple point on the side of the positive electrode TJa is longer than a space distance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
