PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear fusion neutron generation apparatus and a nuclear fusion neutron generation method capable of controlling generation of neutrons and charged particles by using neither a gas exhaust system nor a gas introduction system.SOLUTION: A nuclear fusion neutron generation apparatus 10 applies a predetermined voltage to a cathode 12 provided inside a vacuum container 11 having an anode, accelerates fuel gas ionized by the electric field between an anode 11 and a cathode 12 to cause a nuclear fusion reaction, and includes a hydrogen occlusion unit 15, a heating unit, and temperature adjusting means 16. The hydrogen occlusion unit 15 is provided inside the vacuum container 11, and occludes the fuel gas, and the occlusion amount and the release amount of the fuel gas increase in accordance with increase and decrease in temperature, respectively. The heating unit heats the hydrogen occlusion unit 15. The temperature adjusting means 16 controls the temperature of hydrogen occluding material by controlling the heating unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
