PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidation catalyst capable of efficiently oxidizing a pollutant at a space velocity higher than the conventional one and also at a temperature lower than the conventional one in the gas to be treated including catalyst poisoning substances such as sulfur oxide and moisture vapor while suppressing the carrier amount of metal active species.SOLUTION: Provided is an oxidation catalyst, regarding the gas to be treated at least including carbon monoxide as a combustible component, promoting the oxidation of the combustible component, including an oxide carrier in which niobium oxide and anatase type titanium oxide are solid-soluted and platinum carried on the above oxide simple substance.
