PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector and a planetarium system that can project any object capable of being represented as a light spot so as to enable viewing from various view points and attain planetarium projection.SOLUTION: A planetarium projector P includes a set of plural unit light spot projectors 1 that comprise: a unit light spot projection cylinder 10 that projects a single or plural light spots as a unit light spot by a light source and a projection optical system; and a frame 11 supporting the unit light spot projection cylinder. The unit light spot projectors have means of controlling the supported unit light spot projection cylinder in an arbitrary projection direction. The planetarium projector is incorporated into a planetarium system.
