PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system capable of discriminating a living activity in real time by automatically adjusting a time zone associated with the living activity without the necessity of teacher data.SOLUTION: A waking equivalent activity discrimination system includes power difference calculation means that calculates a unit power difference which is a difference between power consumption values at each unit time and an immediately previous unit time, power difference decision means that decides whether the unit power difference in each time zone exceeds a predetermined threshold, time zone extraction means that extracts as a reference time candidate a time zone in which the number of days relative to which a true decision is made exceeds a predetermined ratio, reference time designation means that designates as a reference time an N-th reference time candidate among candidates arranged in ascending order of time, activity time zone determination means that determines a waking equivalent activity time zone which includes the designated reference time, and activity discrimination means that, if the unit power difference in a time zone that is an object of discrimination exceeds a predetermined power value and the time zone is included in the waking activity time zone, decides that a waking equivalent activity has occurred.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
