PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molecular tool which can evaluate changes of intracellular redox status more conveniently without analysis of excitation spectrum or the like.SOLUTION: There is disclosed a fluorescence protein comprising an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of Sirius, mTurquoise, EBFP2, and Venus which are fluorescence protein; or an amino acid sequence having 90% or more of sequence identity to the amino acid sequence selected from the above group, in which amino acid residues of position 147 and 204 are substituted by cysteine (C), and any one amino acid selected from the group consisting of glycine (G), aspartic acid (D), glutamic acid (E), leucine (L), and arginine (R) is inserted between amino acid residues of position 147 and 148.
