PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide molecular tools which can evaluate changes in the intracellular oxidation/reduction state using fluorescence emitted at a single excitation wavelength not depending on the expression amount thereof in the cell.SOLUTION: The invention provides a fluorescent protein comprising an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1 or an amino acid sequence having 90% or more identity to SEQ ID NO:1 in which the amino acid residues at positions 149, 150, 202, 203, 205 are substituted with cysteine (C), aspartic acid (D), cysteine (C), valine (V) and valine (V) respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: None
