PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable another nurse to perform a response and correspondence to a nurse call even when one nurse has stopped nurse call notification processing by his/her own portable terminal.SOLUTION: A private branch exchange includes: an operation signal reception section 93 for receiving an operation signal from a portable terminal 8 when a predetermined operation is performed in the portable terminal 8; and a notification processing stop section 94 for allowing only the one portable terminal 8 to stop notification processing when the operation signal reception section 93 receives the operation signal transmitted from the one portable terminal 8 while the respective multiple portable terminals 8 are performing notification processing. When a predetermined operation is performed in one of the portable terminals 8, the notification processing is stopped only in the portable terminal 8 but the notification processing is allowed to be continuously performed in the other portable terminals 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
