PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface protective film suitably used for laminating alicyclic olefin resin films used as a substrate for transparent conductive film and capable of suppressing surface roughness of the alicyclic olefin resin film, and there is provided an alicyclic olefin resin film with a surface protective film containing the surface protective film.SOLUTION: There is provided a surface protective film used for laminating alicyclic olefin resin films, having a substrate layer containing an alicyclic olefin resin and an adhesive layer with the content of a residual solvent in the adhesive layer of 5 ppm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
