PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor having a clip guide push-in detection function, and a clip guide exchange method that are capable of making clip guide exchange work efficient.SOLUTION: The passenger conveyor having a clip guide push-in detection function is provided with: a detection unit 17 that detects proper positioning of the end of a clip guide 15 attached to an edge 14 in the longitudinal direction of a guide rail 13 for guiding a moving handrail 7 inside a truss 1; a notification unit 18 that provides information; and a notification control unit 20 that provides information from the notification unit 18 on the basis of the detection result of the detection unit 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
