PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ceramic that has a high oxygen ion conductivity even at low temperature and can be prepared at a lower temperature more than before.SOLUTION: The yttrium containing oxy-apatite lanthanum/germanate ceramic is represented by the formula (1): LaY(GeO)O(where, 7.5≤x8.8, 1≤y≤2, 2.2≤z≤2.7), and has an oxygen ion conductivity of 2.3×10[S/cm] or more at 600°C.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
