PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure camera detection method, and a failure camera detection program of an imaging apparatus capable of detecting a failure camera easily, and to provide an image processing apparatus.SOLUTION: A failure camera detection method of an imaging apparatus using n cameras 4a-4f, 4a-4g overlapping the imaging area, where n is an integer of 3 or more, the n cameras perform imaging simultaneously, n individual images captured by the n cameras are acquired, at least one of the n individual images is not in use in order, n composite images ((a)-(f)) are created by using the remaining individual images, image matching is performed among the n composite images thus created, a plurality of matching composite images and unmatched composite images are separated, and when there is only one unmatched composite image, the camera that is not in use when creating the composite image is detected as a failure camera.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
