A user (a driver or an owner of the vehicle) gets discount on car insurance premium, and an insurance company provides a variety of insurance products based on the vehicle status information. In addition, since a customized service for the usage-based insurance is provided to the user or the insurance company when events occur, the events may be processed quickly.
