co-processed composition, process for preparing a composition useful as a pharmaceutical excipient, granulate or tablet formulation, method, and solid dosage form. Co-processed compositions containing calcium phosphate and microcrystalline cellulose are useful as excipients in the preparation of solid dosage forms containing active pharmaceutical ingredients, particularly those prepared by processes involving multiple stages of compaction. Such compositions may be obtained by preparing aqueous suspensions of myocrystalline cellulose and calcium phosphate and drying such suspensions to produce particulates. Co-processed products exhibit improved compactability when compared to dry physical mixtures of the same components.
