continuous passive motion and localized muscle vibration equipment for the elbow and forearm This report describes an equipment for physiotherapeutic rehabilitation of the elbow and forearm. The equipment consists of two modules: (i) the continuous passive motion module (mpc) and the localized muscular vibration module, both composed of mechanical and electronic parts. the mpc module has two axes of movement: (ii) the axis responsible for passive flexion and extension movements of the elbow that goes from oº to 160º, and (i.ii) axis responsible for the passive pronation and supination movements of the forearm ranging from -90º to + 90º, both have as control parameters: speed, range of motion (adm) and time. These two axes can move the elbow and forearm independently and synchronously. (ii) localized muscle vibration module produces mechanical vibration to be applied to the biceps brachii muscle at frequencies ranging from 60 to 120 Hz. Acceleration and displacement parameters were determined and monitored in a safe range for this frequency range, as determined by previous standards and studies.
