The present invention belongs to the field of special cements, more particularly it relates to a cement for use in cold agglomeration processes of iron ore fines. The present composition is capable of increasing the efficiency of the ore fines agglomeration process by reducing energy consumption, since thermal input to the agglomeration processes is no longer required. Thus, a cement composition comprising clinker with a range of 89.7 to 96.0%, plaster with a range of 4.0 to 10.0% and a source of chloride with a range of zero to 0.3% of the total is taught. by mass, having also the following chemical composition: calcium oxide (ca) greater than 59%; sodium oxide (na2o) with concentration in the range of 0.05 to 0.5% and potassium oxide (k2o) with concentration in the range of 0.5 to 1.3% and fire loss between 0.4 to 2, 0%, all concentrations referring to the total mass of said composition. the composition must have the following physical characteristics: fineness of sieve 325 microns less than or equal to 2.0% of the total mass. The present invention further discloses the use of the present cement composition in the cold pelletizing process in a particle size range of 1.0 micron to 0.8 mm iron ore fines.
