PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATION CONTAINING EXTRACT OF SCHINOPSIS BRASILIENSIS (ANACARDIACEAE)

The present invention is concerned with the use of crude extract obtained from schinopsis brasiliensis barks in photoprotective and antioxidant pharmaceutical preparations, whether or not combined with commercially used synthetic filters. The results showed that eb-sb was able to enhance the photoprotective effect of the synthetic filters used, increasing the spectrophotometric fps of the formulations, suggesting that the extract can be used in photoprotective formulations as a chemical filter alone or in combination.
