The present invention relates to certain polyphenol (s) having adjuvant property which may be used for the preparation of the vaccine. also, the present invention provides an adjuvant system comprising said polyphenol (s) and delivery system such as an immunostimulated reconstituted influenza virosome (irivs). The present invention illustrates said polyphenol (s) or an adjuvant system comprising said immunostimulated reconstituted influenza polyphenol (s) and irivs may provide a better level of response. immune against the antigen of interest than conventional vaccine systems. The preferred polyphenol according to the present invention may be beta-sitosterol. beta-sitosterol may optionally be combined with known adjuvant (s) to enhance the immune response.
