The present invention relates to cosmetic compositions and methods of using cosmetic compositions to benefit the skin. Cosmetic compositions typically include: (a) resveratrol, polydatin or mixtures thereof; (b) baicalin; (c) optionally one or more solubilizers; and (d) a cosmetically acceptable vehicle. The compositions provide multiple benefits to the skin. For example, the compositions are particularly useful for providing anti-aging benefits to the skin, for lightening the skin and for improving skin appearance (e.g., brightness and firmness).
