A sonic tag welding device for soldering multiple tags together using ultrasonic welding is disclosed. The sonic tag welding device comprises a digital controls main menu screen that includes touch screen buttons that are used to access specific screens to program the device to perform in a certain way. For example, a user may press the Cut To Length button if they want to cut a tag to a specific length, or the Tag Weld Count button to specify the number of tags being sonically welded. furthermore, the sonic tag welding device comprises a head for allowing multiple tags to be mounted under pressure and an anvil for directing high frequency vibrations. A method of manufacturing a multilayer care label is also disclosed.
