The tool is made up of upper and lower lever arms that turn into an adjustable fulcrum. the upper lever arm has a distal end adapted to engage a femoral cup or a femoral ball and the distal end of the lower lever arm engages the implant. the proximal ends of the lever arms engage a drive assembly that is used to cause the distal ends to move apart, thereby separating the femoral cup or ball from the femoral implant.
