A method of producing a paper or cardboard product having at least one blade comprising high yield pulp (hyp), comprising the steps of (a) mass composition supply comprising at least 50% high yield pulp (hyp) of a total pulp content in said pasta composition, said high yield pulp produced with a wood yield exceeding 85%; (b) dewatering the dough composition to form a wet continuous sheet and pressing said wet continuous sheet to a dry solids content of at least 40-70%; and (c) densifying the wet continuous sheet to a density greater than 600 kg / m3 in a press nip of a paper machine at a temperature above a water saturated lignin softening temperature comprised in said high yield pulp to providing a paper or cardboard product containing at least 30% high yield (hyp) pulp of a total pulp content of said product.
