A rotatable swivel system (rss) includes a flexible cam coupled thereto which reduces the rigidity of the rss and allows a tighter turning radius to be achieved. The positioning of the flexible control between the steering section and the rss controller further improves the turning radius and may allow a drill pushing system to function similar to a drill pointing system. Flexible command allows communication between controller and rss guidance sections. The rss can be arranged as a modular system to receive various configurations of a flexible command and can operate without the flexible command installed. Modularity allows you to adjust the rigidity of an RSS to achieve different orientation objectives.
