The methods involve reacting one hydrazide group in one reagent with an aldehyde group in the other reagent. The reaction proceeds rapidly with high conjugation efficiency. Simplified purification processes can be employed to separate conjugate product from unconjugated polysaccharide and protein and other small molecule byproducts.
