Methods and systems for deriving home position from a subscriber station in support of unattended gps position determination in a wireless communication system. method and system are presented for deriving a home position from a subscriber station in a wireless communication system in which support for unattended gps position determination, the subscriber station receives overhead messages from the wireless communication system , and derives the origin position of the parameter values. The subscriber station may use a data structure in its memory and map possible parameter values to corresponding positions that may serve as the source positions. The data structure may be updated in response to an update condition.
