The invention concerns antibodies that are able to specifically bind TREM-1 and prevent the activation of TREM-1, a protein expressed on single cells,macrophages and neutrophils. Such antibodies are useful in treating people with inflammatory disease,such as rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease.
