Method for assessing the diameter of a wheel as well as its appraisal device

The method involves checking for absence of jamming or stopping of a wheel of a vehicle (1). A size representative of a derivative of an angular acceleration of the wheel is acquired (2). Another size representative of the derivative of the angular acceleration of the vehicle is acquired (3). A determination is made to check whether the latter size is greater than a predetermined limit (4). A size characterizing a diameter of the wheel is evaluated (5) according to the two sizes. The size characterizing the diameter of the wheel is filtered (6). An independent claim is also included for an assembly for evaluating diameter of a wheel of a vehicle.
