The present invention relates to a simulation system for carrying out satellite orientation control tests comprising a sensor for detecting the angle of deviation in a platform. Also, it involves a phenolic insulating tube to avoid electromagnetic noise generated by actuators when the compensation is carried out; an onboard computer located inside a box containing the electronic control system of the simulation system. Further, it includes batteries providing energy for the proper functioning of the guidance system; a wireless bidirectional communication system located in the box to receive commands from an external computer and send telemetry to the earth station. Moreover, it contains two sliding masses located on the platform reducing the amplitude of the oscillations therein, during orientation tests. The simulation system is supported or floated on a pneumatic bearing in a medium with negligible friction. The onboard computer has programmed an algorithm of compensation in an open loop, allowing reducing the oscillations up to 89%, which simulates a behavior as of a microgravity environment. The pneumatic bearing is manufactured in self-lubricating bronze material, avoiding scratches and scrapes on the surface and significantly improving the operation of the satellite simulator.
