The present disclosure is related to a mucoadhesive mouth patch optimized for the administration of pharmaceutical compounds, of the type that is composed of a first layer or impermeable film that is located in the outer part of the patch. A second layer or bioadhesive film that is located in the inner part of the mucoadhesive buccal patch, that is, the second layer or film is the one that is in contact with the buccal mucosa, and a third intermediate layer or film that is located between the first and second layers. The impermeable film is a reinforcement to ensure the integrity of the mucoadhesive buccal patch, conferring a unidirectional release of the pharmaceutical compound and preventing the user or patient from swallowing part of the drug dose. All of the above allows increasing the bioavailability of said drug; the bioadhesive film maintains its shape at the application site, without loss of part of the drug dose; and the intermediate film serves to ensure the integrity of the bioadhesive film by improving the permeation rate of the pharmaceutical compound. Provides protection against moisture and light, additionally acts as an adhesive between said waterproof film and the bioadhesive film.
