This notification concerns the selective recovery of tin from zinc -containing material, in favour of electronic scrap, and in particular printed circuit boards, which includes the initial treatment of zinc -containing material,selective dilution of the pre -treated material for the selective removal of tin compounds involving the exposure of the pre -treated material containing tin to the action of a nitric acid (V) washing machine and the removal of tin from the washing machineof tin oxide (IV). The notification also covers the use of diluted nitric acid as a washing machine for selective tin washing and a reactor for selective dilution containing tin material.in addition, the treatment of tin dioxide contaminated with lead oxides by the production of metallic tin by thermal treatment in the presence of a new furnace and the use of a new furnace as an environment for the thermal reduction of tin dioxide to metal tin.
