The scope of the notification is the new liquid crystalline esters of thiophene-3-yl, 3,4,5-tri(4-(n-alkyl-1-yloxy)benzoate, formula 1, in which R is the alkyl group with the number of carbon in the chain from 8 to 16, used in the production of lithium ion batteries. The notification shall also include the method of obtaining new liquid crystalline esters of 3,4,5-tri(4-(n-alkyl-1-yloxy)benzyl)thiophene-3-yl benzoate with formula 1, in which R is the alkyl group with carbon numbers in the chain from 8 to 16.
