The invention relates to the recovery of thermal energy generated during the process of braking a hoisting device belonging to a drilling plant for oil and natural gas wells, intended to be used in other well auxiliary activities, such as for heating the radiators of the drilling plant sheds, in the cold season, as well as providing the domestic hot water for the lavatory and toilets. According to the invention, the recovery of the thermal energy generated during the braking of a hoisting device belonging to a drilling plant for oil and natural gas wells is performed by a heat exchanger (7) with jacket and pipe bundle, with a single passage through the jacket and several bundles in counter-current, respectively, as follows: a primary circuit is made, where the water with the temperature of 74°C enters the jacket of the heat exchanger (7), another secondary closed circuit is made with a water pump (8), which circulates the water from the pipe network of the exchanger (7) with the temperature of 50°C, which gets into the heaters of the sheds (9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16) and into the water tank (17) of lavatory and toilets, and a third circuit is made of a pipe for supply with cold water at the temperature of 20°C coming from the tank of the plant (1) which enters a larger separate tank (18), which has water at the temperature of 50°C coming from the pipe network of the heat exchanger (7) and the water resulted at the temperature of 30-35°C supplies the showers (19) and then it is discharged into the sewage channeling.
